Holiday Help for Kids
ELIGIBILITY
Who can ask for holiday help?
Scarborough residents with children aged 18 or younger living at home. We do not provide presents for adult children at home, returning college students, or visiting friends and family. If you have a question about eligibility, please call us at 883-5111. Frequently Asked Questions
What can be put on the wish list?
For each child we will try to get two needs (hoodies/sweatshirts, pajamas, boots/shoes, coats, etc.) and one wish (toys, fun activities, books, games, crafts and hobby supplies, etc.). Why is it helpful to give plenty of info? Our volunteers want your children to have a happy holiday, and they try their best to fulfill wishes, and get presents your child will like. It is very helpful when you can tell us about your child's interests, likes, and favorite characters and colors. It is especially important to have detailed info about your child's clothing sizes. Will presents be wrapped or unwrapped? Presents will be unwrapped. Sometimes they are in gift bags. Sometimes we can provide extra wrapping paper and tape. When and where is pick up? We'll email you with details once your application is approved. What if I can't make it on the pick up date? If you can not come to the pick up, please let us know. If you can, please get someone else to pick up for you. Will you deliver presents? No, we can not make special delivery arrangements. What about my privacy? We use code names to protect your family's privacy, and while we share details about your holiday request with our community volunteers, we do not share your child's name (or yours). |
Deadline to ApplY: Dec. 9th
