At the heart of a community that looks after its own, Project GRACE is leading the way. We are neighbors helping neighbors.
Volunteers answer hundreds of calls a year from people from all walks of life living in neighborhoods all around Scarborough. We can tally the times we’ve helped a neighbor connect with area services or how many families we’ve helped with an oil delivery, or add up how often we’ve provided milk and snacks, sneakers or coats for children, and count the number of backpacks with school supplies, food baskets or presents shared at the holidays. But our impact is more than the sum of those numbers.
Project GRACE helps knit our town together with meaningful collaborations and partnerships that stand the test of time to provide timely relief and aid. Our signature events, like the Trivia Bee and Keeping Neighbors Warm Fuel Rally, do more than raise essential funds: they bring us together with shared purpose, helping to build a strong and compassionate community.
The snapshot of our activities and how your investment at any level can make a meaningful impact includes words of thanks from a few of Scarborough’s most at-risk families, children, youth, and seniors. Although the notes are addressed to us, they are meant for all of you who help us so graciously during the year.
We hope you will invest in us and in your community by telling a friend about Project GRACE or by giving generously. Together we can bring comfort and help to our neighbors right here, right now.
