The Higgins Beach Association recently held its annual welcome back' supper for its members, a time to catch up on what's been happening here and away. The event included a silent auction for which members of the neighborhood association collected great prizes from local artists and businesses. We are grateful to all who donated items. With good-natured and spirited bidding, members of the HBA raised a very generous donation of $2,000 for Project GRACE.
Much of the gift is designated for fuel assistance, a portion will be used to help the Community Garden continue to grow. But even beyond that, the Higgins Beach Association’s concern for the community is a priceless gift indeed. We would also like to thank the HBA board and volunteers who worked so hard on hosting this fun event. Thank you, all.
