Friends Help us Get Closer to the Goal

Classic Eyewear of Scarborough has just pledged a match to Eddie's challenge! If we meet the $15,000 goal for the Rally to Keep Our Neighbors Warm, Classic Eyewear will also give $2,500 to the fuel fund! Wow! Thank you!

Town employees work hard for the people of Scarborough, and they really care about their neighbors, too. Staff in all departments have been collecting returnable bottles and cans all year-long, and many gladly pay a $1 to wear jeans to work, because it goes to the fuel fund! They have managed to collect almost $1,100 to help us get to the goal on Saturday! 

Our friends at Saco Biddeford Savings have pledged $1,000, and friends at the Scarborough Lions Club are pledging $250, proceeds from their famous Roast Beef Suppers, to help their neighbors keep warm! Recently we also got a letter from a family we've helped - in it, a $10 contribution to the Fuel Fund with a note that said, "heat is included in our rent, we hope you can use this to help someone else with their heat." We are grateful: every gift brings us closer to the $15,000 goal.
