In July Project GRACE received a grant from the Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA), made possible by new CARES Act funding for communities disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. This timely grant funding allows us to continue to offer services that support the health, safety, and independence of older adults and adults with disabilities during the coronavirus public health emergency. |
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, signed into law March 27, 2020, provides additional funding for various programs authorized by the Older Americans Act of 1965. SMAA, serving as a pass-through agent for these new federal relief funds, launched a competitive grant application process. Project GRACE is honored to be among those to receive funding.
